  • Red Dress Ball with the Eric Felten Jazz Orchestra
    Saturday, February 13
    Glen Echo Park's Spanish Ballroom
    $15/person

    One of our absolute favorites, the Eric Felten Jazz Orchestra , returns to the Spanish Ballroom on February 13th for our annual Red Dress Ball. 

    This classic 14-piece swing dance band features the original big band arrangements of Count Basie, Billy May, and Nelson Riddle in their performance of music from the great bands of the Big Band Era -- Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Harry James, Woody Herman, Lionel Hampton and more.  Come hear what led the Washington Post to exclaim that they "set a standard not easily matched" or what led PBS to feature the EFJO on their The Big Band Sound of WWII special!!...This is one evening you do NOT want to miss!!! 

    Don your best red threads, grab your dancing shoes, and round up your favorite partners for an evening of great music and fine dancing!! 

    Dance lesson 8-9 pm
    Dancing from 9-midnight.
    Cost is only $15/person (or volunteer for an hour to get in free. Contact us if you'd like to volunteer.)






Saturday Night Swing Dances at Glen Echo Park

On selected Saturday nights, we sponsor swing dances at the beautiful Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park. These dances feature the area's best bands and the most fun you'll have dancing anywhere!! No partner or experience required. Dress is casual.

  • Lesson: 8:00 - 9:00 pm
    Dancing: 9:00 - Midnight
    $13-15/person (depending on the band) or volunteer for an hour in exchange for free admission. To volunteer,send us an email.
