WWII Canteen Dance with the Radio King Orchestra
Leesburg Executive Airport
This is the 6th annual dance put on by the National Capitol Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force and we're proud to say our 6th year of involvement. The CAF buys and restores WWII-era planes and keeps the old warbirds flying. This dance is a benefit to support these activities & many of the planes will be on hand. This year, there will even be a vintage B-24 Bomber!!!. (In other words, GREAT photo ops abound!)
The gates open at 5:00 pm. Dinner (BBQ) will be available then. We'll teach a dance lesson from 7:00 - 8:00 pm, followed by dancing from 8:00 - 11:00 pm. Music will be provided by the fabulous Radio King Orchestra. Vintage attire/military uniforms encouraged, but not necessary. There will be both a dance contest and a best vintage outfit, as well as raffles for great prizes (including the chance to take a ride in some of these great planes!!)

What a weekend we have planned!!! World Champion Lindy Hoppers Kenneth & Helena Norbelie will be visiting from Sweden. They will teach workshops during the day both Saturday and Sunday, and then on Saturday night, we'll have them and the wonderful George Gee & the Jump Jivin' Wailers from NYC. You can't ask for more than that!!!!
Kenneth & Helena will teach the pre-dance lesson from 8:00 - 9:00 pm, followed by dancing from 9:00 pm to Midnight.
Lesson: 8:00 - 9:00 pm
Dancing: 9:00 - 12:00 am
$15 (or volunteer for an hour to get in for FREE. Email us if you'd like to be on the volunteer schedule.)

Night Swing Dances at Glen Echo Park
Glen Echo Park 
On selected Saturday nights, we sponsor swing dances at the beautiful Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park. These dances feature the area's best bands and the most fun you'll have dancing anywhere!! No partner or experience required. Dress is casual.

Dancing: 9:00 - Midnight
$13/person unless otherwise listed (or volunteer for an hour in exchange for free admission. To volunteer,send us an email.)
